She is very educated and knows about Black skin issues..My daughters and I had skin issues over 11 years and all 9 dermatologist we visited in westchester didn't have a clue about BLACK skin...The words often use is.our pigmentation.. This was my first time with this dermatologist, DNP Woods, was wonderful. She was very thorough in examining my skin and paid attention to every detail. She took her time with me and explained everything clearly. I also appreciated her gentle and soft way of speaking, calm manner, it made me feel very comfortable throughout the visit.

My wait time was very short. Although this was not my first time at this location, it was my first visit with the dermatologist Shimika. She was professional and yet warm and welcoming. She listened to all of my concerns, answered all of my questions and provided solutions for me to try before our 6 week follow-up appointment. I look forward to my next visit to discuss my results.
